http://thepiratebay.org/ è stato bloccato perchè secondo le lobby composte da Major, ecco cosa dicono di noi all'estero dove la censura non è assolutamente tollerata:

And we want you all to inform your italian friends to switch their DNS to OpenDNS so they can bypass their ISPs filters. This will also let them bypass the other filters installed by the Italian government, as a bonus. And for the meanwhile -

And please, everybody should also contact their ISP and tell them that this is not OK and that the ISPs should appeal. We don't want a censored internet! And the war starts here...
Il trucco per bloccare l'accesso al sito è nei
DNS(Domain Name System) che oguno di noi usa, stabilito di predefinito dal fornitore del servizio. Quindi
basta utilizzare un DNS diverso come gli OpenDNS, reperibili tranquillamente sul Web per visualizzare la nostra amata "Baia Pirata".
Per inserire un DNS basta andare su Start/Pannello di Controllo/Connessioni di Rete, selezionare la connessione che usate(ad esempio la Lan o la Wireless) e cliccate su Proprietà.
Fatto ciò apparirà una scheda chiamata Generale e sotto ci saranno voci, selezionate Protocollo Internet(TCP/IP) e cliccate su Proprietà.
Ora ci saranno dei campi dove inserire dei dati numerici. Probabilmente il vostro IP sarà impostato automaticamente, come i DNS, quindi selezionate Utilizza i Seguenti Indirizzi Server DNS.
Andate a questo indirizzo
https://www.opendns.com/start, selezionate il tipo di Pc che avete, a seguire il sistema operativo e poi in fondo alla pagina ci saranno i DNS da inserire. Comunque se volete risparmiarvi la fatica inserite direttamente questi, se non vanno andate sul sito:
